How long does it take to adjust to Simvastatin?

Postby smurphy on Mon May 26, 2008 1:56 am

I have been taking the drug Simvastatin for approximately 2 months. I recently shed a stone in weight and still do not feel very well. I seem to always be feeling ill. I discussed how I am feeling with my doctor and he told me to be patient and eventually I will feel up to par again. I am not convinced. If it is true that it will take more time, and how much time?

I stopped taking Simvastin nearly 4 months ago and I am still feeling awful too. Simvatatin is a horrible drug. I have some friends in medicine who have given me some great advice. They reminded me to assert myself with my doctor. Often doctors are rushed but this should not intimidate you. Don't be shy to ask questions. If your doctor is not willing to be open, answer your questions, or take your concerns seriously, then find a new one. Your health is important!

Cheers,
